As we approach the end of semester 1 of the 2022-23 academic year,\u00a0on behalf of the secondary team, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to our esteemed parents for their continued support, trust, and guidance.\u00a0We appreciate your assistance and feedback.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In this newsletter, I’d like to highlight a few updates and upcoming activities in November and December. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We conducted a MAP GROWTH TEST for students of Years 7, 8 and\u00a09 students. The MAP Growth test is the most reliable and innovative assessment for determining each student’s achievement and growth in maths, reading, language usage, and science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We will share your child\u2019s growth report Via ManageBac starting on 14th November. Kindly find the family guide to MAP GROWTH HERE.<\/a> This guide will help you to understand your child\u2019s growth better. We are also ready to answer your questions.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n We appreciate your participation in our student three-way conference once more. Our goal in instituting student-led conferences is to empower your child to participate in their learning activities and commit themselves\u00a0to work towards their learning goal.\u00a0 We also collected our Parents’ responses after the meeting. Kindly Find their response here:<\/p>\n\n\n\n 243 students<\/mark><\/strong> presented their learning journey to their parents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 182 students<\/mark><\/strong> were able to communicate their challenges in their learning journey, which helped 161 parents<\/mark><\/strong> have a better understanding of how to support their children at home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n 175 parents<\/strong><\/mark> voted their child’s presentation to be well-structured and 139 parents (57.2%) <\/mark><\/strong>found it unnecessary to meet their child’s teachers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 213 parents<\/mark><\/strong> voted the 3way conference to be well organised and it should continue as a practice at ARIS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 16th November 2022:<\/mark><\/strong> Our Art Department has organised an event called \u201cRAZZMATAZZ\u201d. All students from Year 7 to year 10 will participate in this event to showcase their learning this semester. We will share our stories with you through our social media platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 23rd November till 1st December<\/strong> 2022<\/strong><\/mark>: End of semester examinations for DP2\/CP2 and DP2\/CP1 will write their end of semester exams.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n 23rd November till 30th November 2022:<\/mark><\/strong>\u00a0 MYP5 will take their End of semester written exams (1st Mock) To prepare them for the writing On-Screen Examination.\u00a0The rest of the MYP classes will have their second summative\u00a0during this time.\u00a0Details will be found on the coordinator page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 9th December 2022:<\/mark> Sports Day<\/strong>: We are very happy to organise this event after two long years. \u00a0 We will send you more details closer to the dates.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n 12th December till 16th December 2022<\/mark><\/strong>: Spirit Week: SRC is organising a week-event to celebrate the diversity in our community.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n 15th December 2022:<\/mark><\/strong> End of semester report cards will be sent home via Managebac.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n 16th December 2022:<\/mark><\/strong> End of semester assembly and class parties. School ends at 12.30 pm.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n 19th December 2022 till 13th January<\/strong> 2023<\/mark>:\u00a0 Semester break\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n 16th January 2023<\/mark><\/strong>: School resumes for Second Semester.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u00a0Have a Wonderful Break with your families and Friends.
