We welcomed 10 new staff who bring a wealth of experience and passion for personalised learning support. We believe their contributions and impact will greatly enhance&nbsp; our support services and foster a positive learning environment for all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we begin this new academic session the&nbsp; Secondary Inclusion&nbsp; Week that is usually held in semester two in April will now hold this semester before the mid-semester break.&nbsp; More details will be shared shortly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-aris-teal-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-3fde442d1caaf9cb3988c099ad13ab21\"><strong>PLD COLLABORATIONS WITH THE HOME, SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As we begin a new academic session here are a few tips&nbsp; to help start the semester on a high note are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For parents<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ensure there is open communication between you and the school with regards to your child\u2019s strengths, challenges and\u00a0 specific needs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set realistic goals for your child that will challenge them but not intimidate them.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Create routines to help them get back into school mode after a long holiday.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitor their stress levels because the semester will get more challenging as\u00a0 it progresses.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Above all, stay positive and expect the best for your child\/ward.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For students<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Embrace your uniqueness.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set personal goals and don\u2019t be afraid to ask for help to let your parents and teachers\u00a0 know how they can help you achieve them.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Give yourself a break when you feel overwhelmed and practice mindfulness.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make sure you take part in an extracurricular activity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Above all, stay positive, focus on building your strengths and strategies that work for you, so you can have a successful school year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Greetings from the PLD Department.
