IBCP1 Students Embrace Growth Mindset in the “Anti-Talent” Show<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As part of their Personal and Professional Skills (PPS) class<\/strong>, our IBCP Year 12 students recently took part in the “Anti-Talent” Show<\/strong>\u2014an event designed specifically for IBCP students to embrace challenge, vulnerability, and personal growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Anti-Talent Show<\/strong> flips the idea of a traditional talent show on its head. Instead of showcasing polished skills, students step out of their comfort zones by attempting activities they are not necessarily good at\u2014whether it\u2019s juggling two balls with one hand, dribbling the ball for 60 times, or playing a new instrument. The goal is not perfection but resilience, courage, and a willingness to learn through failure.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This event aligns with the growth mindset philosophy<\/strong>, encouraging students to see setbacks not as barriers but as stepping stones toward improvement. By facing the fear of imperfection in a supportive environment, students build confidence, adaptability, and perseverance<\/strong>\u2014all crucial skills for both academic and professional success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The atmosphere was filled with laughter, encouragement, and a shared sense of camaraderie as students supported one another through the challenges. It was a powerful reminder that learning isn\u2019t just about success\u2014it\u2019s about embracing the process, pushing past fear, and discovering new strengths along the way<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This experience was a testament to the IBCP ethos: preparing students not just for exams, but for real-world challenges where resilience and adaptability matter just as much as expertise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Important Deadlines & Internship Requirements <\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As we progress through the semester, we want to remind all IBCP students and parents about critical deadlines<\/strong> and expectations for both CP1 and CP2. Students must be present until the last week of school as multiple submissions are scheduled during this period. Families are strongly advised not to schedule travel before June 13<\/strong> to ensure students meet all academic requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, CP2 students are required to complete a four-week mandatory internship<\/strong> with a company that has signed an MOU with ARIS<\/strong>. This internship is a crucial part of their career-related studies and must be completed as part of their graduation requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you have already made summer travel arrangements that might affect your child’s participation, please schedule a meeting as soon as possible to discuss alternative solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Y13 Mock Examination<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Year 13 Mock examination will commence from Monday, February 10, 2025, and continue till February 21, 2025. During this period, students are encouraged to be punctual to the examination hall and be seated at least 15 minutes before the commencement of each examination. The protocols for the official IB examination will be adhered to with respect to timings of papers, access arrangements, notice to candidates and actions that are considered as academic misconduct. Students must<\/strong> comply with all examination rules and regulations, or have their papers cancelled if they are found in breach of these regulations.

Once an examination is over, you may pick up your ward immediately<\/strong> or have them study at school till closing<\/strong>. If your ward does not have an examination on a particular day, they are permitted to study from home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note that after the examinations, Year 13 students will resume work on their internal assessments on the last day of the mock examination, February 21, 2025. No early release request will be granted on this day, so please do not schedule any dental or visa appointment on this day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If your ward does not have a paper on the last day of the mock examination, they are expected to attend school to complete their IAs.<\/mark>
Finally, we humbly appeal to all parents to support us from home by removing any distractions<\/strong> that may adversely impact your wards independent study time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Legalisation (IBCP2)<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In some countries, the IB Diploma Programme Results and DP Course Results document need to be legalised by the relevant chancellery, embassy and\/or consulate to be valid for entrance to universities. Kindly refer to the list of countries that require legalisation, and ensure that your ward verifies this requirement with his or her prospective university. Please note that it is the responsibility of candidates to check with their universities. Deadline for submitting a legalisation request and making payment to the Accounts department by April 3, 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boot Camp<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The school is planning to organise its annual intensive boot camp for Year 13 students from March 21- 29, 2025. During the boot camp students solve past papers and get extra support for concepts and topics that they may find challenging. Similar to last year\u2019s boot camp, parents may be required to make some financial commitment to register their wards for this program. Details will be communicated in due course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
