Celebrating Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) in the month of September!
As part of the core component of the IB Diploma Programme, students are required to take on meaningful and impactful CAS projects that will positively transform communities and groups. In this month of September, we would like to acknowledge and celebrate the efforts of two students in Year 13: Mert Hamza Asar, and Inshirah Fatima.
Mert Hamza Asar
In collaboration with Zahi Hallal and Alfa Alfayine Alfa, Mert supported the Akropong School for the Blind by enhancing their ICT and tech resources, aligning with our goal to contribute to SDG #4 Target 4.a, which focuses on creating safe, inclusive, and gender-sensitive educational facilities for children and individuals with disabilities.
Inshirah Fatima
Inshirah Fatima is running a student-led jewellery club at ARIS. The DIY Jewellery Club is a vibrant club where students who are passionate about crafting unique jewellery come together, regardless of their skill levels, to share knowledge and inspire each other using various materials and techniques. Through the club, Inshirah’s primary goal is to foster creativity and self-expression among members, providing an avenue for students to learn jewellery-making while exploring innovative methods with beads and threads. Additionally, the club offers a relaxing and social environment for members to unwind, create, and enhance their skills while expanding their jewellery-making expertise.
