Please note:

  • Smart watches and other smart devices are not permitted on school premises.
  • The school’s technology policy requires laptops only (not iPads or tablets), as certain applications and learning platforms are difficult to access on other devices.

We began this semester by conducting Parent Orientations and Curriculum Roadmap sessions with every yIn September, students engaged in homeroom activities that connected meaningfully to our school events, including the election and investiture ceremony. The theme focused on leadership, critical thinking, and international mindedness. Through these sessions, students not only learned about influential African leaders but also reflected on the qualities of leadership and responsibility within their own school community.

In October, the theme is health. Students will learn about topics related to promoting health and Wellbeing and in November, students will learn about Wealth Wisdom.

As part of their interdisciplinary focus on SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, MYP 1 students took part in an exciting Community Engagement trip to the Village of Hope at Gomoah Fetteh.

The trip was both meaningful and practical. Students launched the ARIS Market Initiative, where community members could purchase items using ARIS currency. This gave individuals the dignity of choice in meeting their needs—moving away from the traditional model of simply receiving donations.

This initiative is just the beginning. Students will now build on their experiences by creating artworks, stories, and reflections in their Language and Literature and Visual Arts classes. These works will be showcased during L.E.A.D. Week, where the ARIS community will come together to raise funds in support of the children of Village of Hope.

It was an inspiring start to the year, and we are proud of our students for living out the values of empathy, innovation, and action.

We wish to inform you that the Mid-Semester Assessments will be held from 6th to 14th October. In preparation, students will receive a revision packet to guide their study and ensure they are well-prepared.

We encourage you to support your child in planning their revision effectively. We wish all our students every success in their upcoming assessments. Click here to view the full summative assessment schedule

In October, MYP 3 students will take part in an orientation session to prepare for the transition to MYP 4. At this stage, students will continue with a broad curriculum while also beginning to specialize by selecting certain subjects.

To support families in this important process, an online parent workshop will also be held to provide guidance on subject selection and answer any questions.

Subject selection forms will be shared towards the end of the semester.

Summative assessments for MYP 4-5 will start from October 6 to 14th, 2025. Students will be required to download Assessprep on their Macbooks or S.E.B app for other devices. This will enable them to take tests easily. Parents should also avoid fixing medical or visa appointments during this time. The Mid semester schedule is here.

The MYP 5 students already completed their first workshop where they looked at the requirements for personal projects and rubrics for the first part of their reports. They have also completed their first official meetings. Their next workshop will be in November so students are expected to work on their projects whilst meeting their supervisors weekly for feedback and support.

For MYP 5 students, the next step is preparing for the transition into either the IB Diploma Programme (DP) or the Career-related Programme (CP). At this stage, students will begin to focus on subjects that are tailored to their future academic interests and career aspirations.

To support this important decision-making process, an online parent workshop (via Zoom) will be held in October to guide MYP 5 parents through the subject selection process and outline the requirements for both the DP and CP pathways.
