PPS-Dragons’ Den
We challenged our IB career-related program students to develop a real-world business proposal based on the needs of the ARIS community. They pitch their idea to the Dragons, who are the investors. They describe their product, justify their decisions and financial projections (cost, selling price, profit margins, etc.), and convince the ‘dragons’ that it is viable. This activity allows students to demonstrate all the personal and professional skills taught in the core such as communication skills, personal & development skills among others. The business proposals presented are: a training centre for the athletes, saving energy at ARIS, ARIS Kitchen and ARISWORKS after-school support.
MOCK Examination & Submission Deadlines
Monday 27th February – 8th March: during this time, the IBCP students will be writing mock exams in their DP subjects which are Language Literature, Maths and Economics.
Wednesday 1st of March: In addition to the DP subjects examination, the IBCP students will submit the final draft of their Reflective Project and meet their supervisors on Wednesday 1st of March.
Friday 10th of March: The CP Core portfolio final presentation for Language Developement, Personal & Professional Skills and Service Learning.
All BTEC assignments and CP core portfolio should be fully completed before the midterm break-31st in March. In that way, the focus of the month of April will be only revising for your DP subjects.

Registration of Candidates (Year 12)
Students in Year 12 will be required to fill a pre-registration form and submit the data page of their passports for the official registration of their May 2024 examination session. Please ensure that your ward’s passport has not expired, and if there is going to be a change or addition to your ward’s name, kindly notify us with supporting documentation.
Bootcamp for Year 13
In preparation for the May 2023 DP/CP examination session, ARIS will organize an intensive revision session for students in Year 13. This bootcamp will kick-off from April 2 – 9, 2023. Parents will be required to make some financial commitment to this intensive revision session. Kindly note that details will be provided in the coming weeks.

Year 13 Class Trip
Usually, after every mock examination, final-year students embark on a one-night/two-night trip with their programme coordinators to de-stress and prepare for their May 2023 official examinations. We are planning a trip in March for the final-year students and we hope to give you an update before the end of January. We humbly request that all parents encourage their wards to attend this trip as it will be their final one as a class.
