IBCP Highlights (NOV/DEC 24)

We are delighted to share an inspiring update from our Personal and Professional Skills (PPS) course involving our IBCP Year 13 students.

Recently, our students had the invaluable opportunity to participate in one-on-one interviews with Ms. Munnira Sheikh, the CEO and founder of ZEN. Ms. Sheikh conducted insightful interviews and shared expert tips with our final-year students, focusing on crafting professional CVs and preparing for their future careers.

Highlights of the experience include:

  • Personalized Coaching: Ms. Sheikh provided tailored feedback to each student, helping them enhance their communication and presentation skills.
  • Professional Insights: Students gained practical advice on navigating the professional world and making a strong impression in their chosen fields.
  • Showcasing Excellence: All our candidates showcased remarkable determination, knowledge, and passion for their future endeavors.

This initiative aligns perfectly with our mission to inspire, empower, and transform learners into confident, capable individuals ready to tackle future challenges. Their engagement in these sessions reflects their readiness to take on new challenges and succeed beyond ARIS.

A special thank you to Ms. Munnira Sheikh for her time and dedication in supporting our students’ development. Her mentorship has made a significant impact on their professional journeys.

Stay tuned for more updates on our students’ achievements!

Our IBCP2 students have completed the first draft of their Reflective Projects. Before the end of the semester, students will receive detailed feedback from their supervisors, providing them with valuable insights and suggestions for improvement. This feedback will guide them as they work towards their final submission.

Over the December break, all CP2 students are expected to dedicate time to refining and completing their final drafts. This focused effort will ensure they are ready to submit their Reflective Projects when classes resume in January.

The final Individual Oral (IO) for Year 13 Language and Literature students is scheduled for Saturday, December 14, 2024. This arrangement ensures a quiet and distraction-free environment for all recordings.

Each student will be assigned a specific time to come to school for their IO and is advised not to communicate with peers immediately after completing their examination.

For students traveling on Saturday, the IO will take place after school on Friday, December 13, 2024. These students are required to remain on campus to deliver their IOs before their departure.

We are excited to share that our IBCP1 and IBCP2 students are currently preparing for Service Day, which will take place on Tuesday, December 10th. This event will showcase their service projects, a significant component of their Service Learning portfolios and a key step toward their portfolio completion.

Our students are creatively crafting their presentations in various engaging formats, including TED Talks, digital portfolios, table displays, and much more. This diversity allows them to share their impactful stories and highlight the outcomes of their service projects in dynamic and meaningful ways.
