MYP Highlights (JAN/FEB 25)

We wish all parents and guardians a joyful and prosperous new year. As we enter into  the second month of the second semester, which is typically filled with numerous activities, it is essential for parents to ensure that students do not miss school. Please keep the academic calendar in mind when planning family trips.

Additionally, be aware that dates may change due to unforeseen circumstances. Therefore, it is advisable to allow for a buffer of about a week before and after scheduled events to accommodate any shifts in dates that may arise. Thank you for your understanding and support!

In January, our Homeroom sessions focused on the theme of “The Attitude of Gratitude.” Students took a moment to reflect on the importance of showing gratitude and identified numerous reasons to be thankful.

We are excited to announce that the MYP 1D students won the challenge of the month by creating a heartwarming video expressing their gratitude to the school community. Congratulations to them for their creativity and dedication!

In MYP 1-3, students are exploring why their current lessons are important and how they apply to the real We’re thrilled to inform you about our upcoming school trip to  Tamale and Mole National Park from the 12th of February to the 14th of February, 2025. This excursion aligns with the units “The Melting Pot: Integration, Assimilation, and the Preservation of Culture” and is a collaboration between the Integrated Humanities Department and the Language Acquisition Department. This unit aims to deepen students’ understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures firsthand.

During the trip, students will visit the historic Larabanga Mosque and Village, Hamamat Village, and Mognori Eco Village and explore traditional huts within the Mole National Park. These experiences will give students a unique opportunity to understand how the Mole community lives in harmony within the park, embracing coexistence with wildlife. Students will learn about the community’s efforts to balance preserving their cultural heritage, safeguarding the environment, and ensuring sustainable living practices.Refer to the information page here
