Ongoing Summative Assessment (DP)
Students in Years 12 and 13 will be assessed on the units that they have completed. These assessments will be conducted from October 9 – 14, 2025 before the mid-semester break. Parents are encouraged to ensure that their wards are constantly revising topics taught in class to enable them to prepare adequately for these assessments. Students who absent themselves during these assessments may not get another opportunity to sit for the assessment if they do not have evidence to support their absenteeism eg. a medical report for sickness etc. All examination protocols will be adhered to during this period.
For the mid-semester examinations, bear in mind that all examination protocols still apply:
- Come to the lesson without any foreign material or rough paper.
- Do not communicate with your peers when you enter the classroom.
- Follow all instructions that your teacher provides.
- Sit in the allocated seat assigned to you on that day.
- Ensure that you come prepared with all stationery – pens (NOT an eraseable pen), pencils, calculators, erasers, sharpeners, a long rule. No borrowing will be allowed.
- Do not bring any watches (digital/analog/smart watches), smart glasses or phones to the examination venue.
NB: Students who engage in any collusion or examination malpratice will have their papers cancelled with no opportunity for a retake. Please take this very seriously, and start revising for the examinations if you have not begun. Refer to the dates in the table below and schedule all dentist appointments outside these dates:

Y12 & Y13 Student-led Conferences
To guide students in taking ownership of their own learning and reflect on how they learn, students will present their learning journey to their parents on November 6, 2025 in our Student-led conferences. Individual meeting times will be shared with you soon, so please make time to attend. In line with this, we encourage students to review their learning goals and ensure that they prepare adequately for the summative assessments to avoid getting grades below 4.

Year 12 Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) Cafe!
As part of the core component of the IB Diploma Programme, students are required to take on meaningful and impactful CAS projects that will positively transform communities and groups. Students in the first year of the IB Diploma Programme (Year 12) will have the opportunity to present their upcoming CAS projects in line with their learning outcomes from October 6 – 10, 2025. The CAS coordinator will share the presentation schedule with students in the coming week.

Year 12 End of Semester Examination
Students are encouraged to have a personal schedule at home that allows them to revise lessons every day. Through a consistent habit, students will manage their time effectively and prepare adequately for all assessments throughout the academic year. Please note that Year 12 End of Semester examinations begin from November 25 – December 2, 2025. All examination protocols will be adhered to during this period.

Year 13 Pre-mock Examinations
From November 24, 2025 to December 2, 2025, pre-mock examinations will be administered to Year 13 students. These examinations cover all the content that students have been taught since Year 1 of the Diploma Programme. It is therefore imperative that students begin revision as soon as possible so that they can cover the entire content before the examination dates. During this specific period, there will not be teaching and learning because students will be writing standard papers and components across multiple subjects. All examination protocols will be adhered to during this period.

Year 13 IBDP May 2026 Examination Registration
Registration for the May 2026 examination session is in progress for DP and CP students in Year 13. A student survey has been administered to collect students’ data and biopage of their passports. It is important that students fill out this form accurately with their personal details, subjects and levels.
In order for your ward to avoid late registration with a penalty for the May 2026 examination session, they need to meet the following requirements for the submission of their extended essay:
A. Sept 15, 2025 – first complete draft of 3,500 – 4,000 words should be uploaded on managebac with in-text citations and bibliography (Poor quality work will not be considered as a submission, so students must check-in with their EE supervisor to ensure that they are on track).
B. Submission of all Internal Assessments due before October 10, 2025. Once again, sub-standard work or work generated through AI will not be considered as a submission and students who submit such tasks will have to redo their work, and therefore cannot be registered early for the May 2026 IB examination.
Please note that if your ward does not fulfil all these requirements by the deadline above, they will be registered late with a penalty fee. We therefore encourage all parents to ensure that their wards are managing their time effectively at home, and remove all distractions to support their wards to meet upcoming deadlines.
