As we begin the second semester of the 2024–2025 academic year, I extend a warm welcome to all our returning and new parents. This semester is pivotal for both students and faculty, as we focus on academic excellence and extracurricular activities that enrich learning. Our faculty is committed to providing the support students need to excel, and we firmly believe that collaboration between home and school is key to ensuring student success. With your partnership, we can create an environment that fosters both academic achievement and personal growth.

We would like to take this opportunity to remind parents and students of the importance of adhering to the school’s dress code policy. Specifically:

  • All students must comply with the school’s dress code to maintain a disciplined and professional learning environment.
  • Girls must keep their nails trimmed.  Nail extensions are a costly indulgence, and we kindly request parents to schedule such grooming activities during the holiday breaks.
  • Long hair must be neatly tied at the back.

Faculty members will be conducting regular follow-ups to ensure compliance with these expectations. Your cooperation in reinforcing these guidelines at home is greatly appreciated.

We are delighted to welcome Nouha Hamoui to our faculty this semester. Nouha is our class of 2018 IB graduate. She holds her Master degree in Biology with a distinction in  Teaching diploma. She is dedicated to fostering an engaging and inclusive learning environment at ARIS. We are very proud of adding her in our family.

A detailed year group calendar of activities is attached for your reference.  We request our parents to refer to the Calendar and plan for the holidays based on this Calendar.

These events are crucial milestones in our academic calendar, designed to foster both academic and personal growth. We encourage all students to participate actively and make the most of these learning opportunities. Parents, your support in ensuring your child’s engagement in these activities is invaluable.

Therefore, We kindly request that parents refrain from requesting early release for students.

Hosted by the Association of International Schools in Africa (AISA) in collaboration with the International School of Uganda (ISU), this AISA Global Issues Service Summit (AISA-GISS) will take place from 13 – 15 February 2025 in the lively city of Kampala.

AISA-GISS is not just an ordinary conference but an immersive experience that aims to inspire and empower participants to make a positive difference in their communities. It offers a unique opportunity for students to embark on a journey of self-discovery, leadership development, and personal growth that will shape their lives and create a lasting impact.

The theme of the 2025 AISA-GISS is “Kola Kati,” which translates to “Act Now” in Luganda.   This summit aims to inspire students to continue taking action even after the event, building on the knowledge and motivation gained during the summit.

Our Team is now Ready to Go next months.  If your ward is not a part of this group, make sure they participate in next Year.

We look forward to a productive and enriching semester ahead. Thank you for your unwavering support and commitment to your child’s education. Together, we can ensure that every student reaches their full potential.
